Istanbul Mini Stay

Welcome to Istanbul! Upon arrival at either Istanbul's Ataturk Airport or the port of Istanbul, you will be greeted by a MedVisits representative and transferred to your select hotel. The remainder of the day is to be spent at your leisure. Overnight in Istanbul at your select hotel. Special Note: Canadian and American travelers will need to purchase a Turkish tourist visa upon arrival in Istanbul, either at the airport or the pier prior to passing through passport control.

After breakfast you will be greeted in the lobby of your hotel and commence your full day historical Istanbul small group tour. Visits include the Hagia Sophia Museum (built in the 6th century, once the largest Christian church in the world), the Topkapi Palace (Imperial Residence of Ottoman Sultans with displays of priceless collections of artifacts, jewelry and rare porcelain), the Blue Mosque (unique with its 6 minarets and famous for its blue Iznik tiles),the Hippodrome Square(where ancient chariot races were held), and then a visit to the world famous Grand Covered Bazaar. The remainder of the day is to be spent at your leisure. Overnight in Istanbul at your select hotel. Closure Notes: Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays; Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays; Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.

Today you will be collected from your hotel to commence your half-day Bosphorus Cruise & Egyptian Spice Market tour. You will first visit the world renowned Egyptian Spice Market, one of the true landmarks of the old town. After walking through the market you will then be transferred to the pier where you will embark on a public ferry for your cruise up and down the Bosphorus. Cruising on the waterway separating two continents, you will have breathtaking views of marble palaces, Ottoman wooden villas and modern residences on both banks. Afternoon return to your select hotel for your overnight in Istanbul.

After breakfast today you will be transferred to Istanbul's Ataturk Airport or the port of Istanbul where you will board your departure flight or cruise ship.
